Our History

Walnut Grove Chapel held its first service on Wednesday evening, July 21, 1971. Our church was born out of a God-given conviction for faithful and sound Biblical preaching. In addition, we have had a pronounced interest in and commitment to world missions. God has graciously enabled us to commit over thirty percent of our overall giving towards our missionary families.

By God’s grace, over these many years, we have continued in our dedication to our founding convictions, while also maturing in our devotion to ministering relationally, being focused on the heart, and staying Christ-centered.

Highlighted ministries in our history have been AWANA, Summer Bible School, Fellowship Dinners, and Missions Emphasis Month. We continue to carry on each of those while more recently adding to them our Slavic Speaking Church, Life Groups, and Serving Teams.

We’ve experienced over 30 years of serving Jesus Christ together, and we look forward, with great anticipation, for the 30 years to come! We believe God has every intention of blessing us as we seek to know Him and make Him known.
