Our Beliefs

We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be verbally inspired by God, inerrant as originally given, and preserved by Divine providence; and that they are of supreme and final authority for faith and life.
(Ps. 119:89,160; Matt. 5:18; Lk. 24:44; Jn. 14:26; 2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Pet. 1:21)

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - Who is righteous in all His ways and holy in all His works.
(Deut. 6:4; Matt. 28:19; 2 Cor. 13:14; Ex. 15:11; Num. 23:19; Ps. 145:17)

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God; that He became true Man, being conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary; and that He continues to be God and Man, two natures in one Person, forever.
(Ps. 2:7; Is. 7:14, 9:6; Mic. 5:2; Jn. 1:1,14,18, 5:26, 20:28; Phil. 2:5,6)

We believe that man was directly created by God in His image; that he disobeyed God and thereby incurred, not only physical death, but also that spiritual death which is separation from God; that all human beings are born with a sinful human nature and become sinners in thought, word and deed, and that, as such, they are liable to the second death which is eternal separation from God in hell.
(Gen. 1:27, 2:7,17; Rom. 5:12; Ps. 51:5; Is. 48:8; Jer. 17:9; Mk. 7:21-23; Rev. 20:14, 21:8)

We believe that God so loved the world of men that He sent His Son to die the death which men deserve and Divine justice requires; that Jesus Christ died as a sinless substitute for others; and that all who transfer their trust to Him are declared righteous by God only because of the shedding of His righteous blood.
(Jn. 3:16; 1 Jn. 4:10; Is. 53:6; 2 Cor. 5:21; Jn. 1:29; 1 Pet. 3:18; Acts 13:39; Rom. 3:24-26)

We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of Jesus Christ, in His bodily ascension into heaven, and in His present life for us there as our High Priest and Advocate.
(Acts 2:24; Rom. 1:4; Lk. 24:39; Jn. 20:27; Lk. 24:51; Heb. 1:3; Rom. 8:34; 1 John 2:1)

We believe in "that blessed hope," the personal and imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
(Jn. 14:3; Acts 1:11; 1 Thess. 4:16; Heb. 9:28; 2 Tim. 4:8; Titus 2:13; Matt. 24:42-44; Rom. 13:11)

We believe that all who place wholehearted trust in Jesus Christ crucified, risen and returning are born again of the Holy Spirit and become children of God; also that they are baptized by the Spirit into the Body of Christ, the Church, at the moment of saving faith and that this one baptism of the Spirit is to be followed by continual infillings of the Spirit.
(Jn. 1:12,13; Jn. 3:3,7; Gal. 3:26; Eph. 4:4,5; 1 Cor. 12:13; Eph. 5:18)

We believe that those who truly trust Jesus Christ are kept by the power of God, through faith, unto a finished salvation; and that their being united to Christ is demonstrated by their purpose to live godly lives in the power of the Holy Spirit.
(1 Pet. 1:5; Phil. 1:6; Jude 24; 1 Cor. 10:12; 2 Pet. 1:10; 1 Pet. 1:15)

We believe that those who have become members of Christ's Body are to align themselves with local churches which are characterized by the faithful preaching of the Word of God, the due observance of Baptism and the Lord's Supper, and the proper exercise of Christian discipline.
(Acts 2:42; Heb. 10:25; 1 Cor. 15:1-4; Gal. 1:8; Matt. 28:19; 1 Cor. 11:26; Matt. 18:15-17; Titus 1:5-13)

We believe in the future bodily resurrection of all men, those who have died in Christ being raised at His return to the full enjoying of God throughout eternity, those without Christ being raised at the end of time to suffer the torments of eternal exclusion from God's presence.
(Jn. 5:28,29; Rev. 20:5,6; 1 Cor. 15:23; 1 Thess. 4:16,17; 2 Thess. 1:8,9; Rev. 21:8)

We believe, therefore, in the urgency of Gospel proclamation to the ends of the earth that men without Christ may have opportunity to hear and believe and be saved from the wrath to come, all this in obedience to Christ's Great Commission.
(Rom. 10:13-15; 1 Cor. 9:16; Acts 2:40; 2 Cor. 5:20; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8)
